Elegant Washington DC Wedding

We have a very elegant Washington DC wedding to share today, perfectly captured by Emily Clack Photography. There are so many beautiful details and ideas at this one. The little vow books are adorable, the lace detail on the bride’s dress is amazing and the “Love” sign looks like fun! There is just so much loveliness going on here!

“We met by joining the same kickball team in DC. My friend, Alan (who was also our officiant) and Shane’s friend Tom (one of his groomsmen) worked together. Tom recruited Alan and Shane to join the team, and Alan convinced me to join as well. We were immediately interested in each other, but it took Shane a couple weeks of kickball and flipcup games to finally make a move!

Although neither of us is from DC originally, it will always be where we fell in love. Some of our first dates were to the national museums, the zoo and to embassies’ open houses. We chose our venue due to its historical significance and proximity to all the major dc attractions. Our guests were able to easily walk everywhere!

The day of the wedding was a little stressful because we knew it would rain at some point, but it was unclear exactly when it would happen. Fortunately, the rain held off for the ceremony and cocktail hour! It started pouring down right after we entered for dinner and the reception! We like to think we got the best of both worlds – the beautiful outdoor ceremony we planned, plus plenty of good luck from the rain, while everyone danced the night away.”

Amazing Wedding in Napoli Italy

We are sharing with you, a wonderfully romantic wedding in Italy, photographed by the very talented David Bastianoni. I love how he really captured the love and emotion between these two, and told their wedding day story perfectly. His images are both amazing and creative!

Bride and Groom: Iain + Barbara

The song “Torna a Surriento” (Come bak to Sorrento) and the film “Pane, amore e Fantasia” (Bread, Love and Fantasy) the famous film with Sophia Loren are the background to this delightful wedding. In Italy there are many places that can make a frame to a wonderful wedding, but they chose this lovely place to celebrate their wedding surrounded by the love of family and friends. At Grand Hotel Aminta there is Barbara with all her friends intent to prepare to live a day full of excitement, love and fun. To make this day even more special for their guests, Barbara and Iain decided to celebrate the ceremony in “The Saint Francis Cloister”, dating back to the fourteenth century, which is located in the historic center of the city of Sorrento. After the ceremony everybody went to Villa Antiche Mura where the welcome cocktail was served on the terrace in front of one of the most beautiful Sea-View at the italian’s sunset and the guests enjoy the delicious variety of food and prosecco wine. How can you not be fascinated by the magnificent sunset and the beautiful old sailing ship anchored in front of the terrace? Impossible!!! Continuing the party, the dinner was served on the terrace, with beautiful flower arrangements and small gifts to their guests as the typical lemon liqueur called “Limoncello”. Everyone had a wonderful, unforgettable day and danced late into the night.
